London Championship Teams of Four

HOLDERS:  Ian Payn, Rob Cliffe, David Burn & Brian Callaghan

 

This is the major county teams championship and is therefore green-pointed.  A new format is being adopted this year – the competition will consist of a single-day, two-session multiple teams event, from which the top two teams with London allegiance will qualify to a head-to-head final match to be arranged at a mutually convenient later date. The winning team will be expected to represent London in the Pachabo Cup on 10^th – 11^th June 2006 in Kettering.

The multiple teams event will be scored using the same method as the Pachabo itself – using a combination of IMPs and point-a-board. Green points will be awarded for both stages of the competition as a whole. Please note the new early start time, which allows an early finish on Sunday evening.

Permitted conventions:  EBU Level 4.

Membership requirements: All players in the multiple teams stage must be LMBA members. In order to qualify for the two-team final stage, all players in a team must have London allegiance.

Date and venue: Sunday 8th January 2006 at the Young Chelsea Bridge Club.

Start time: 11.30 am

Entry fee:  £56.00 per team.

Entries by 1^st January 2006.

 

All new members will receive a complimentary £5.00 voucher for use in entering future LMBA competition(s).
