Message from your Chairman
You are probably aware that the EBU has proposed a new strategy for the
future of bridge in England.
The final document can be downloaded from the EBU web site.
There will be a vote on this matter at the EBU Shareholders’ meeting on
4th June. We need to give our three shareholders a mandate which reflects
the best interests of our clubs and playing members.
Your Committee has already scheduled a meeting to discus the strategy with
club representatives for Tuesday 13th May, 7.00 pm at the Young Chelsea.
At the same time. we are also requesting views from all our membership.
Send your views on the strategy to Chris Duckworth, your County Secretary,
before Saturday 10th May at chris.duckworth@lineone.net.
